Dobrochna Zajas is a BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, EMDR therapist and Drug and Alcohol Practitioner (FDAP).
Before joining The London Therapy Practice, Dobrochna worked in NHS mental health services. She is Head of Psychological Therapies in a homeless charity where she provides therapy and supervision. She holds two Master’s degrees (in Social-Penitentiary Work and in Addiction Psychology and Treatment) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
Her work is trauma-informed, promoting a non-judgmental, inclusive, emotionally safe, and empowering space. She is guided by principles of collaboration, curiosity, and discovery to explore the wide-ranging dynamics of trauma and its physical, psychosocial, psychological, and neurobiological impacts on clients.
While creating a compassionate and secure environment for exploration and reflection, Dobrochna ensures that clients feel genuinely heard and understood. She uses a range of approaches, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and EMDR. Additionally, she incorporates elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Schema Therapy.
Dobrochna provides individual therapy for adults, either in person or online, and is fluent in both English and Polish.
