Dr Paul O'Sullivan is a Health and Care Professionals (HCPC) and British Psychological Society (BPS) registered Chartered Counselling Psychologist. He holds a BSc Honours degree in Psychology and a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology. Paul practices integratively, treating each client as a unique individual and tailoring treatment to meet the person’s needs. Whilst working predominantly using CBT, he incorporates other evidence based therapy approaches to meet the client’s needs, including Psychodynamic therapy, Humanistic therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused therapy.
Paul has gained a wide breadth of clinical experience from working in a number of different settings, including the NHS, voluntary and charities sector, and in private practice. Areas of special interest include depression, anxiety disorders, relationship difficulties, personal development, and self-esteem issues. He has previously conducted research on the effects of threatened personal identities on emotional and psychological well-being.
Paul provides a confidential, safe and non-judgemental space for people so that they can gain a greater understanding of their problems and feel empowered to make positive changes in their lives.
