Are you still open?
Yes! We are open and most of our therapists continue to provide individual therapy.
We currently only provide therapy online, using Skype, Zoom or FaceTime.
Is online therapy effective at all?
We have been working online long before the current crisis happened and have experienced really positive results.
Once settled into the new way of working most people quickly find themselves able to address the issues they came to therapy for.
Some people find it easier to express themselves online and open up more quickly, allowing the work to move faster. Some clients have reported the therapeutic relationship to develop more easily during online work.
We appreciate that some people have reservations so we would recommend booking a one-off session to try it out first.
Do you provide CBT and EMDR online?
Yes - both types of therapies lend themselves well for online therapy.
When doing EMDR online there are several ways of doing bilateral stimulation which are equally effective as eye movements. Your therapist will explain this to you.
Our therapists are experienced in providing online EMDR and follow the guidelines for online therapy provided by the EMDR association.
What is your availabliity at the moment?
We currently have some daytime, evening and weekend availability.
I'm claiming through my insurance - will my sessions be paid for?
Most insurance companies currently allow for online sessions but please check with your insurance.
Are you offering any discounts?
Some of our therapists may be able to offer a reduced fee - please contact us if you want to know more.
